Vietnam exports plastic products to 55 countries spanning Asia, the Americas, Africa, Europe and Middle East.
The Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA) notes that about 50% of Vietnamese export plastic products are packing products, 15% household appliances, and 35% products such as technological products or office supplies.
Vietnam has more than 2,000 manufacturers of plastic products. Small- and medium-sized companies make up 90% of them. About 80% are based in HCM City and its neighboring provinces such as Dong Nai, Long An and Binh Duong.
